

3rd Annual Toronto Freedom Festival Celebrating our Freedoms through Voices, Creative Arts & Tastes
saturday, May 2nd, 2009 Queens Park North - Noon - 8 pm Free admission The 3rd Annual Toronto Freedom Festival (TFF) is set for Saturday, May 2, 2009 at Queen’s Park North, NOON – 8:00PM. This is the largest one-day outdoor spring festival that is open to the public and free to attend. TFF will present multiple stages featuring musicians, vendors, artists, exhibitors and speakers addressing Canadian and International human rights, environmental issues and alternative medicines as well as celebrating our cherished freedoms. In keeping with the concept of freedom, the public can enjoy TFF’s themes throughout the day.
VOICES OF FREEDOM Several community organizations and speakers will use their ‘freedom of expression’ to discuss freedom topics at the awareness area and speakers stage. Taste of Freedom As eating is a major component of the TFF experience; there will be a wide variety of delicious food vendors representing the diverse cultures of the cityto accommodate the 25,000+ hungry attendees.

Creative Freedom Highlighting all genres of new media and creative arts, from the inaugural Freedom Film Festival (F3) to the fine, graphic and aerosol and urban art show. The pieces will be judged and the winning piece will be on display for all to enjoy. 11th GLOBAL MARIJUANA MARCH The Toronto Freedom Festival’s flagship event, the 11th Annual Global Marijuana March (GMM) takes place in over 200 cities worldwide! Toronto’s event is the largest attendance of all participating cities with over 20,000+ people attending last year. Marchers travel peacefully north along its traditional Bloor Street West route and continue eastward to Yonge Street. Heading south to Wellesley where they will head back to TFF for the remainder of the day. The March will leave the north-end of Queen’s Park at approximately 2:00 p.m.
The Toronto Freedom Festival was developed to offer thoughtful, passionate groups a forum to expose their ideas to thousands of progressive thinking individuals. A person’s choice may not be the same as ours but their freedom to choose should be. Toronto welcomes the world to experience the special energy that our Freedom Festival offers.
