Q1: What is The Toronto Freedom Festival?
A: The Toronto Freedom Festival is a free celebration of our cherished freedoms and innovations. The Festival will look to foster an environment for open dialogue and ideas.
Q2: Where is the Festival held?
A: Queen’s Park North in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Q3: Why that venue?
A: Queen’s Park North has welcomed hundreds of peaceful parades, gatherings, Festivals and marches over the years. It is centrally located and easily accessible via public transit.
Q4: When is the Festival? And what are the hours of operation?
A: This year the Festival will be held Saturday May 3rd, 2008. The Festival runs from noon to 8pm.
Q5: How long has the Festival been operating?
A: This is the 2nd annual celebration of the Toronto Freedom Festival. The Festival has been born out of the responsible activism of The Global Marijuana march which has been happening the first Saturday of May for the last 10 years with fantastic results.
Q6: What are some of the highlights at the Freedom Festival?
A: The Toronto Freedom Festival will have various exhibitors, live music and a special ‘Innovation’ Area that will feature community organizations. The March will still occur and be one of several elements that will only help add to the growth and vibrancy of this Festival.
Q7: How many people are expected at this year’s Festival?
A: We are expecting between 15,000- 20,000 people to pass through the Park.
Q8: How many Vendors are slated for this year?
A: We expect 40+ vendors. If you are interested in becoming a vendor please download the application from the Vendors Application Page.
Q9: Will there be food and ATM there?
A: Yes, there sure will.
Q10: What makes this Festival special?
A: The goal of the Toronto Freedom Festival is to foster an environment for celebration of ideas, while providing a forum for dialog surrounding our cherished freedoms. This celebration will be complimented by a unique collection of musicians, speakers and artists showcased throughout the day.

Q12: What about bringing pets? Water? Coolers? Chairs? Cameras? And in & out privileges?
A: The Festival is in an open public park. We only ask that you are considerate of others and do not bring any alcoholic beverages. *** This event is not dog freindly ***
Q13: What do you recommend that we bring to the Festival?
A: Here’s a Festival recommended list of items to ensure patrons make the most of their Festival experience! sunblock, sunglasses, hat, comfortable shoes, camera , and be sure to bring your appetite, your smile, and a bag to carry around all the cool stuff you’ll get.
Q14: Is the Festival wheel-chair accessible?
A: Yes.
Q15: What should i bring to the event? (just incase you forgot)
A: Bring your freinds, water, snacks, hackysack (or other toys), positive vibes, good times, sunscreen, hat, PROTEST SIGNS, camera, folding chairs, and something else… can’t remember…. The event is in early May, so bring a longsleeve or sweater for the post-sundown temperature drop.
Q16: What should I NOT bring the to event
A: Children under 17, dogs, alcohol, negative attitudes, chemicals
Q17: Is it true that no one has ever been arrested in the Event’s entire history?
A: Yes, its true
Q18: Is there an option other than the portable toilets on-site?
A: We make every effort to ensure all aspects of the Festival are accessible to everyone. However, we do operate within a public park—including uneven outdoor grass areas and a lack of indoor bathrooms. Therefore, we provide portable toilets for all.
Q16: Is there a lost and found at the Festival?
A: If you have found or lost an item during the Festival, please ask a member of the Festival staff to direct you our Operations area, located at the South West Corner of the Park. Lost items are relocated for storage in the weeks following the Festival, so please email marijuanamarch@gmail.com with your contact information and a detailed description of the missing item.
